Big Fish for a Day

It was a bright and beautiful night that Big Brothers, Big Sisters staff and Johnson Wax employee boat captains met at Brown's Lake at 5PM. A short period of drizzle did not dampen the spirits of the participants.

After a BBQ of hot dogs, brats, and all the trimmings the participants enjoyed a cake decorated as a "Thank-You" card to the Johnson Wax Company and their volunteers.

The fishing commenced after a short discussion of water and boat safety. A total of 8 boats were loaded with the Bigs and Littles and all set off for a few hours of fishing and fun.

After the event it was reported that many fish were caught and that all had a great time. Comments of "Best Year Ever" and "Boy was that fun" were heard and passed on to the Johnson Wax staff members.

The even allowed 11 children to eat and fish. 8 Big Brothers and Big Sisters and 1 parent accompanied them.
